The short version

TriviaByMe is a static, read-only directory. There's no login, no accounts, no forms, and no way to submit anything directly on this site - so there's essentially nothing personal for us to collect from you here.

What we collect

• Nothing, from browsing or searching. There are no accounts and we don't track who's looking at what.
• "Use My Location." If you tap this, your coordinates are used entirely in your own browser to re-center the map - they're never sent to our server, logged, or stored anywhere by us.
• Automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider's servers record basic technical data (IP address, browser type) for security and to keep the site running. We don't run our own analytics or advertising trackers.

Third-party services we use

• Netlify - website hosting.
• OpenStreetMap - the map tiles on our homepage. Loading the map requests tile images directly from OpenStreetMap's servers, which see your IP address the same way any image on a webpage would.
• unpkg.com - delivers the Leaflet mapping library's code and styling.

Where the listings come from

Every trivia night shown here comes from the Trivia Writers' Co-Op (TWC) - hosts and businesses submit and maintain their own listings directly on TWC's site, not here. TriviaByMe only reads that data to build these pages. See TWC's Privacy Policy for how that submission data is collected and handled.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
